Louvena the Scout is an indie rock project formed in 2017 by Valeri Lohrman. originally based in southern new jersey, Louvena has moved bases to central indiana and west-central alabama before finally settling in the sunniest, hottest city you could possibly imagine (phoenix).

in 2024, she was a caller on a podcast called We’re Here to Help, where she spoke to Jake Johnson (New Girl) and Gareth Reynolds about a guy she met at vampire weekend’s solar eclipse show in austin, texas. after asking the guy out and getting rejected, she was challenged by Jake to write a song before the episode came out. after a few weeks of writing and recording at record speed, Louvena gave birth to Eclipse (Hot Southern Hypocrite), and it was featured on the podcast. on october 20, 2026, Louvena released her self-titled album, which can be described as “the only album where you can visit a bar that smells like a bowling alley, a Spirit Halloween, a pharmaceutical ice cream shop, and ancient greece all within 34 minutes!”
