Louvena the Scout is an indie rock project formed in 2017 by Valeri Lohrman. Originally based in southern New Jersey, Louvena has moved bases to central Indiana and west-central Alabama before finally settling in sunniest, hottest city you could possibly imagine (Phoenix).

In 2024, Jake Johnson (New Girl) challenged her to write a song for his and Gareth Reynold’s podcast, We’re Here To Help, and after a few weeks of writing and recording at record speed, Louvena gave birth to Eclipse (Hot Southern Hypocrite). It became her most successful song to date after being featured on the podcast.

Currently, Louvena is working on her self-titled album, set to release fall 2026.
